Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gus White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Colby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gus White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darren Colby!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Colby is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Colby throws a series of punches but White avoids them all with ease.
Colby lands a straight punch to the body, keeping White at a distance.
White throws the kick towards the body but Colby avoids it.
A nice inside leg kick there by White. That's going to slow Colby down.
White tries to clinch but Colby is having none of it.

White drives through and clinches with Colby against the cage.
A short left from White.
A head punch on the inside from White fails to land.

Colby breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Colby throws a right hand that misses
and White makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Colby really felt that one!
Colby lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A punch combination from White misses.
Colby paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Colby drops White with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but White looks back up at him and smiles so Colby waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


White is rocked!
White misses with the combination.
Oh White is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Colby drops White with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but White looks back up at him and smiles so Colby waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Colby throws an off balance right hand
and White counters with a thumping low kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Colby cracks White with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Colby has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning White to stand back up!
Colby swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Colby misses the shot to the body.
Colby rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and White counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Colby pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Colby throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
White throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Good shot there by White.
White seems to have got his legs back now.
White walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

White fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Colby, pushing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Colby's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Colby can't break the clinch.
A short right from White on the inside.
White scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Colby takes a shot to the head.

Colby pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
White uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Colby.
Colby throws a poor cross that misses
and White makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Colby really felt that one!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
White scores with a jab to the body.

White instigates a clinch.

Colby breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
White turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Colby swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Colby has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Colby scores with a jab. White acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Colby throws a hook to the side of White's head but White sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
White avoids the body shot from Colby.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by White.
White lands a head shot.
White slips a jab from Colby.
A solid leg kick lands there for White.
Colby looks to land a right hand but White moved out of range.
White displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Colby throws out the jab.
Darren Colby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Colby throws a series of punches but White moves out of range.
Colby swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
White chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
White tries to clinch up but Colby circles away and keeps his distance.
White looks to land a body kick but Colby moved away.
Colby pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Colby throws a lazy right hand but White sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
White connects with an inside leg kick.
White connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Colby momentarily.
Colby throws a hook but White avoids it easily.
White throws a quick inside leg kick.
Colby throws a combination that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
White on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Colby throws an overhand right that lands on White's shoulder, as White tries to avoid the shot.
Colby throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Colby misses with an uppercut.
Colby takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
White ducks under a wild hook from Colby.
White scores with a nice strike.
Nice defenses there by White.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Colby misses with a looping right.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

White moves into the clinch.
White misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A short right hand to the side of the head by White.
White has Colby pressed against the cage, preventing Colby from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Colby escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
White is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.


Colby is rocked!
A good leg kick by White.
Colby is still on wobbly legs! Can White finish him?
White throws a nice outside leg kick.
Colby looks gassed!
Colby on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by White. White obviously looking to wear him down.
White drops Colby with a huge uppercut! Colby drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. White is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gus White!
During a confident post fight interview, Gus White thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
