Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dutch Schaeffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Burza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schaeffer comes to the cage accompanied by Long Tall Sally. Burza is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metallica - Enter Sandman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dutch Schaeffer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Burza! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schaeffer swings widly with a right hand
and Burza counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Burza throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schaeffer lands with a thumping leg kick.
Schaeffer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Burza swats him away and circles back towards the center. Schaeffer looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Burza misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Burza throws a hook to the side of Schaeffer's head but Schaeffer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Burza listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. No joy there for Burza, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

John Burza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burza takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Schaeffer throws a head kick that misses. Nice defenses there by Burza. Schaeffer throws a head kick that half lands.

Burza misses with a hook. Schaeffer ducked under it nicely. That kick from Schaeffer tenderised Burza's leg. Burza is trying to keep his angry face on. Schaeffer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Schaeffer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Schaeffer doesn't manage to clinch there - Burza circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Schaeffer moves in looking to clinch but Burza pushes him off. Schaeffer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Schaeffer ducks under a wild hook from Burza. Burza misses with a hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Burza falls off balance throwing a combination
and Schaeffer counters with a slapping leg kick. Schaeffer tries a head kick but it misses.
Schaeffer pushes Burza up against the cage in a clinch. Schaeffer with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Schaeffer tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Burza avoids it. Burza working hard to break the clinch. Burza's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Burza wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Burza will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Schaeffer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Burza swivels and escapes. Schaeffer tries to clinch but Burza moves out of range. Burza scores with a hook. A right-left combo lands from Burza.
It looks like Dutch Schaeffer has been cut. Burza takes a kick to the side of the head. Schaeffer moves in looking to clinch but Burza pushes him off. Schaeffer closes the distance and pushes Burza back into the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schaeffer is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Burza tries to break the clinch but Schaeffer is controlling the position. A frustrated look appears on Burza's face as he tries to break the clinch. Burza is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Schaeffer misses with a knee to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Schaeffer takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Burza pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Burza fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dutch Schaeffer will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dutch Schaeffer's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Schaeffer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Schaeffer is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Burza throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Schaeffer. Burza works over Schaeffer's head and body with a nice combination. Dutch Schaeffer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Burza fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Schaeffer manages to avoid it. Schaeffer misses with a head kick.

Schaeffer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Burza preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Schaeffer won't allow Burza to sweep him here. Schaeffer slips nicely into half guard. Schaeffer tries to pass to full mount but Burza defends it. Schaeffer is looking for a kimura here.

Burza is refusing to be controlled, as Schaeffer sits in half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schaeffer seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schaeffer trying to control the action but Burza is working from the bottom.

Burza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Schaeffer manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Burza is thwarting Schaeffer's attempts to control the position. Burza stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Schaeffer throws a wild body kick that Burza sees coming a mile off. Schaeffer moves forwards but Burza connects with a nice, crisp jab. Burza throws a right hand that Schaeffer ducks under and follows up with a left that Schaeffer also avoids with ease. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Schaeffer closes the distance and clinches. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Schaeffer obliges. This has been an exciting period of action! Burza avoiding damage as Schaeffer throws knees to the body.
Burza is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A head kick misses from Schaeffer. Schaeffer fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Burza checks it well. Burza connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Burza cracks Schaeffer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Schaeffer clinches. Schaeffer is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Burza is defending well for now. Burza can't break the clinch.
Schaeffer throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Burza blocks it with crossed arms. Schaeffer keeps control of Burza as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Burza has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Schaeffer misses with a knee strike.

Schaeffer manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Burza on his heels. He'll look to pass Burza's guard now, I'm sure. Schaeffer preventing the sweep. Burza preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Burza controls Schaeffer momentarily but Schaeffer frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schaeffer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schaeffer has gone for a leg lock! Burza slips out almost immediately though and dives into Schaeffer's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schaeffer throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Schaeffer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Burza doesn't defend quickly enough and Schaeffer has managed to lock this one up! Can Burza escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Schaeffer on a fantastic submission victory.
