Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Janjak Boran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boran comes to the cage accompanied by Lief Klein Konijntje. Banks has chosen All I do Is win as his entrance music. Janjak Boran has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Janjak Boran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Will Banks! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks checks a low kick from Boran. Banks tries a head kick but it misses.
Banks is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boran's half guard. Boran trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Banks manages to pass to mount!
Boran is desperately trying to improve his position but Banks has a good base and remains in mount. Banks putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Boran tries to lock up and control but Banks gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Banks lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Banks controlling the pace for now. Banks looking to ground and pound but Boran is blocking nicely. Banks postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Boran looks a forlorn figure.
Boran is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boran wants to hold on but Banks pushes him away. Banks moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Boran has worked his arm free - good work by Boran!
Boran tries to get back to half guard but can't. Banks tries to move to mount but Boran blocks the move with his legs. Banks prevents Boran from escaping the position. You can see the frustration on Boran's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Boran taking a bit of punishment here - Banks scoring with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Banks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Boran wants to get back to his feet but Banks drags him back down. Boran is looking for a sweep. A lull in the action here. Banks tries to advance to mount but can't. The referee asks Banks politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Banks prefers to stall for the moment though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Banks working the ground and pound. Banks tries to score with some ground and pound. Boran controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Boran is trying to work for a sweep but Banks has mounted him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boran wants to hold on but Banks pushes him away. Banks throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Banks prevents Boran from getting the reversal. Boran gets back to half guard. Banks not landing any meaningful shots this time. Banks throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Banks works his way into full mount! Banks scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Boran tries to hold on but Banks pushes him away. Boran regains half guard. Banks moves into full mount! Boran won't be happy about that! This has been an exciting period of action! BOOM! Banks connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boran bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Banks seems keen to control Boran's posture. Boran gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Boran scoring well with a low kick there.
A solid leg kick lands there for Boran.
Boran instigates a clinch. Banks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Boran misses with a body kick. Janjak Boran is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Banks looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Banks lands a right hook to the body.
Banks is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boran. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Will Banks dominated that round. That's time! Boran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Boran connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Boran moves away from the strike by Banks. Boran uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Banks.
Banks blocks a head kick by Boran.
Boran takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Banks cracks the inside of Boran's front leg. Boran throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Banks. Boran lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Banks at a distance.
Banks throws a leg kick but Boran sees it coming and checks it nicely. Banks throws a nice looking combination but Boran bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Boran pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A punch combination from Banks misses. Boran misses with a leg kick and Banks counters with an inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boran moves forwards but Banks connects with a nice, crisp jab. Banks lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Banks fails to land the takedown. Horrible takedown by Banks or perhaps it was just good defense by Boran which made him look bad. Boran fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Banks avoids the head kick by Boran.
Banks misses with an uppercut. Boran avoids the body shot from Banks.
Banks blocks the body kick.
Boran fails in his attempt to clinch. Boran feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Banks's calf.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boran is looking to score with low kicks. A looping hook to the body misses from Banks. Boran does a little dance to reset his feet. Banks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Janjak Boran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Banks. Boran has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boran working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Banks lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Boran goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boran misses with a short punch on the inside. A short left from Banks. Banks misses with some punches.
Banks can't get the takedown.
Banks takes a shot to the head. Boran blocking some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Boran. Banks is working for takedown but Boran is calmly controlling the position for now. Boran prevents Banks from breaking the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in the clinch, Boran scores with a nice short uppercut. Banks works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Banks throws a big right hand that misses. Boran wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Banks is now in half guard. Boran is trying to stand back up but Banks is controlling him
Boran regains full guard. Nicely done. Boran has momentary wrist control but Banks slips an elbow through the middle. Banks postures up.
Banks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boran works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Boran working a defensive guard here.
Banks trying to control the position from guard on top but Boran is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Banks content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boran trying to keep a closed guard but Banks is proving a slippery customer.
Boran looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Boran has Banks pulled in close to control his posture.
Janjak Boran has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Boran throws a lazy right hand but Banks sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Banks jabs at Boran's body. Boran throws a predictable looking body shot
and Banks counters with a lovely shot to the body. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boran throws out a powerful jab. Banks scores with a hook to the body. Boran takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Banks's jab looks to have found its range, popping Boran under the eye. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Janjak Boran will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Banks misses with a wild combination.
Boran stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Boran wants it to stay on the feet. Janjak Boran is winning the standup battle so far. Boran misses with a head kick.
Banks takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Boran ducks under a wild hook from Banks. Banks thumps Boran with a low kick. Boran lands with a right hand. Banks misses the shot to the body. A jab from Banks misses. Banks throws a shot from downtown. Boran moves away and avoids it. Banks punishes Boran's body with a nice straight punch. Banks walks forward, straight into a front kick from Boran.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boran scores with a nice right hand.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Boran lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Banks has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Banks and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Banks avoids the head kick by Boran.
Boran avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Will Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boran fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Banks has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Banks dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Boran pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boran tries to land a front kick but Banks steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Boran chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Banks can pounce on him.
Boran is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. No luck with that takedown attempt from Banks. Banks blocks a low kick nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boran clinches. A nice left hand lands by Boran.
Banks lands a right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Banks lands a right hand. Banks lands a right hand. Banks wants to break the clinch but can't.
Boran blocks an uppercut.
A shot in the inside from Boran. Banks lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Boran. Banks misses with the head strike.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Banks. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Banks misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Boran lands a shoulder strike. A head punch on the inside from Banks fails to land. Banks blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Boran pushes Banks back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks has picked Boran up - he's going for a ride! Banks dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Boran is trying to stand.
Banks drops an elbow to the side of Boran's head. Boran moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boran is trying to keep Banks in close.
Boran is adopting a defensive guard. Boran looking for a sweep. Not yet Boran, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banks lands a couple of digs. Boran looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Janjak Boran just wasn't active enough. Banks attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Boran misses with a head kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Banks scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Boran doesn't seem bothered though. Boran thuds his shin into the meat of Banks's side. Banks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Janjak Boran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Banks. Banks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boran was well out of range. Poor timing from Banks. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Banks connects with a body shot. Boran gets in close and instigates a clinch. Boran working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Janjak Boran. I think Boran has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
