The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks checks a low kick from Boran.

Banks is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boran's half guard.

Banks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Banks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Boran wants to get back to his feet but Banks drags him back down.
Boran is looking for a sweep.
A lull in the action here.
Banks tries to advance to mount but can't.
The referee asks Banks politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Banks prefers to stall for the moment though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Banks tries to score with some ground and pound. Boran controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Boran is trying to work for a sweep but Banks has mounted him!

Boran bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Banks seems keen to control Boran's posture.

Banks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Boran moves forwards but Banks connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Horrible takedown by Banks or perhaps it was just good defense by Boran which made him look bad.

Boran has momentary wrist control but Banks slips an elbow through the middle.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Janjak Boran will probably get the nod.

Boran stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Boran wants it to stay on the feet.

Banks takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Boran lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Banks has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Banks and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Will Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boran fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Banks has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Boran tries to land a front kick but Banks steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Boran chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Banks can pounce on him.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Janjak Boran.
