4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Deep! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deep scores with a jab to the jaw. Deep fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Oblaks to the ground. Deep is now in Oblaks's guard. Deep is fighting to break Oblaks's control of his arms but Oblaks is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Oblaks working for a triangle but Deep defends it easily.
Oblaks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Oblaks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Oblaks keeping moving, preventing Deep from controlling successfully. Deep looking to pass the guard. Deep prevents Oblaks from getting back to his feet.

Oblaks is keen to just control but Deep is a slippery customer. Deep slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Oblaks wants to pass the guard but Deep is keeping the position. Deep has escaped and now he's on top! Deep stopping the sweep attempt from Oblaks. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Deep drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Deep jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Oblaks can't keep his opponent in guard - Deep advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Oblaks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Deep looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Deep is trying to control the action in half guard but Oblaks is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Deep is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Oblaks has one foot on Deep's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oblaks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Oblaks passes to full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bembol Oblaks will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Oblaks can't do much from the bottom here. Deep tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Deep laying and praying for a moment but Oblaks takes advantage and regains half guard.
