Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dane Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cook comes to the cage accompanied by Lifeless by 12 Stones. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook shoots in for a takedown but McCarthy shows good takedown defense.
Cook ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McCarthy moves away.
McCarthy lands a jab.
Nice straight punches there by Cook. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cook.
Cook connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Cook shoots in but no luck this time.
McCarthy moves out of range as Cook strikes.
McCarthy throws a body punch but Cook moves out of range.

McCarthy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cook, as that shot connected.
McCarthy looks to score with a jab to the body but Cook is just out of range.
Cook throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McCarthy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cook misses with a double jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Cook counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McCarthy enables Cook to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McCarthy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cook shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Cook manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McCarthy on his heels. He'll look to pass McCarthy's guard now, I'm sure.

Cook scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McCarthy doesn't seem bothered though.
Cook will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cook drops back looking for a leg! McCarthy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McCarthy manages to kick Cook off! Cook jumps back into McCarthy's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCarthy is not content to let Cook control the position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McCarthy is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Cook asserts his dominance and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dane Cook will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cook, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
