Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gorje Luso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cal Trask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trask has chosen Onyx - Bacdafucup as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luso connects with a solid leg kick.

Luso seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Trask is holding on tight.

Trask prevents any damage by holding on tight.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Trask is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Luso has taken his back.

Luso looking to break Trask's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Trask remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Luso will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Trask looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
You can see the frustration on Trask's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Luso is trying to stick to Trask's back but Trask is turning into Luso. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Luso's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Trask.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Trask keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Luso shoots in and drives through. Trask sprawls well.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Luso counters with an outside leg kick.

Trask tries to bum rush Luso with a series of wild strikes but Luso uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Trask stuffs the takedown attempt from Luso. Luso gets slowly back to his feet.

Luso shoots in for a double leg but Trask sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Trask throws a leg kick that is checked
and Luso counters with a thumping low kick.
Trask throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Trask thows a body shot but no joy.
Trask lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Trask throws a series of punches but Luso moves out of range.

and Luso counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Trask looks to throw a body kick
and Luso counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Trask is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Trask keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cal Trask is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Trask cracks Luso with a good jab.
No luck for Luso with that takedown attempt.
Trask looks to score with a jab to the body but Luso is just out of range.
Trask throws a lazy head kick
and Luso counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Trask drops Luso with a nice combination! Trask dives into Luso's guard, looking to finish!


Luso is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Cal Trask showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Luso changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trask tries to avoid it but Luso manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trask to the ground. Trask escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Trask will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Luso.
Luso wants to control but Trask is keeping him busy.
Trask really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luso. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Luso tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Trask wants to control but Luso postures up.
Luso throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Luso tries to advance to mount but can't.
Luso trying to control the position but Trask is working away.
Trask sneaks back into half guard.
Luso looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Luso shoots in but Trask avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Trask throws a right hand that Luso ducks under and follows up with a left that Luso also avoids with ease.
Luso shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trask pinned against the cage. Trask gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gorje Luso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Luso takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Luso shoots in for a takedown but Trask shows good takedown defense.
Luso displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Trask throws out the jab.
Luso fails to land the takedown.
Luso walks into a straight right hand from Trask.
Trask throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Luso.
Trask walks forward, straight into a front kick from Luso.

and Trask counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Nice sprawl there from Trask as Luso shoots in.
Trask jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Luso misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Trask throws a leg kick
and Luso counters with a low kick, right behind Trask 's knee.
Trask throws a sloppy head kick
and Luso counters with a big head kick but Trask shrugs it off.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cal Trask comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Trask has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
