Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Hungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle's entrance music is 12 Stones - Bulletproof. A fine choice. Hungus comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castle fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hungus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hungus.
Hungus looks for a takedown but Castle sprawls well.
Hungus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Eric Castle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl Hungus.
A punch combination from Castle misses.
Castle stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Castle wants it to stay on the feet.
Castle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hungus circles away quickly and effectively.
Castle slips a jab and a cross from Hungus.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Hungus enables Castle to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hungus manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hungus is looking for a triangle but Castle pushes his legs off easily.
Castle trying to control the position from guard on top but Hungus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hungus keeping full guard, as Castle tries to pass.

Castle wants to control from the top but Hungus keeps moving.
Hungus looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Castle has picked Hungus up and slammed him! Hungus can't keep hold of the triangle and Castle manages to pass to side control!
Hungus looks to move to half guard but instead Castle has passed into mount! Damn!
Castle avoids the attempt from Hungus to control.
Hungus is looking to improve his position but Castle isn't that keen on the idea.
Hungus is trying to stand up.
Castle tries to control but Hungus wriggling away.
Castle controlling the position easily from mount.

Castle raining down hammerfists from mount.
Hungus is trying to escape the mount.
Hungus is in a horrible position here. Castle smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Hungus is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hungus tries to reverse the position but Castle maintains control.
Castle takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Castle lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Hungus is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Hungus can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hungus is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Castle landing punches.
Castle lands with some strikes.
Hungus is trying to stand up.
Hungus is bucking up trying to escape but Castle cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Hungus swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Castle breaks from Hungus's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hungus trying desperately to get to his feet.
The referee warns Hungus that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hungus is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Castle! Hungus is hurt baaadly! Castle is firing away with more strikes - Hungus is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Castle!

Eric Castle was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
