Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Austin Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Zamorano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zamorano has chosen The Cat Empire - Lost Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mike Zamorano struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Mike Zamorano will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Austin Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Zamorano!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams moves forwards but Zamorano connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Williams scoring well with a low kick there.
Williams lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Williams on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Williams misses with a straight left.
Zamorano showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Williams.
Some bone on bone action there as Zamorano checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Williams does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Williams lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Zamorano tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Williams manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Williams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Williams blocks a head kick by Zamorano.
Mike Zamorano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Williams misses with a hook. Zamorano ducked under it nicely.

A swing and a miss from Williams.
Williams rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zamorano counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Zamorano fails with an attempt to clinch.
Williams tries to score with a low kick but Zamorano moves his leg out of the way.
A bone on bone clash there as Zamorano blocks the leg kick.
Zamorano on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Zamorano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Williams looks for a takedown but Zamorano sprawls well.
Williams tries to work over Zamorano's front leg with a kick but Zamorano checks it.
Zamorano dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Williams. That did some damage!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Williams throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Zamorano tries to clinch there but Williams circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A jab lands there for Zamorano.
No joy there for Williams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Williams pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Zamorano.

Williams gets a double leg takedown into Zamorano's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Williams passes into half guard.
Zamorano wants to improve his position but Williams is controlling well.
Williams thows a huge punch but Zamorano dodges it nicely.
Zamorano is refusing to be controlled, as Williams sits in half guard.
Zamorano is trying to stand up here but Williams is controlling him well.
Zamorano works his way to full guard. Good work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zamorano looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but Zamorano has wrist control.

Zamorano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Williams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Williams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams chips away with some ground and pound.
Williams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Williams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zamorano is wriggling around but Williams manages to pass to half guard.
Williams is looking to take a break and control but Zamorano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Austin Williams will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Zamorano moves out of range of the strikes.
Williams checks the leg kick nicely there.
Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zamorano moves away.
Zamorano lands a body shot.
Williams throws a jab when Zamorano was well out of range.
Williams misses with a straight left.

Zamorano gets a clinch.
Williams has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Zamorano after a bit of a struggle.
Zamorano misses with a knee to the head.

Williams gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Zamorano regains guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Zamorano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Zamorano is tightening it up a little... Williams has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Williams reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Williams taps out! Nice BJJ there by Zamorano!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mike Zamorano!
A relieved looking Mike Zamorano thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
