Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aze Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Vegata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Toro might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hate me or Get DIE tryn' - 50cent. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aze Toro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Vegata! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vegata closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Vegata tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vegata has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vegata slows the pace down. Toro is looking for a sweep. Toro parries the strikes from Vegata easily there. Vegata is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Toro to escape.
Vegata controls the position. Toro is trying to get back to half guard. Toro taking a bit of punishment here - Vegata scoring with strikes. You can see the frustration on Toro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Toro tries to buck Vegata off but Vegata is having none of it. Toro is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vegata off and has taken his back! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Toro looking to hold on to the position here but Vegata rolls and ends up regaining guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toro trying to control the position from guard on top but Vegata is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Toro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Toro passes Vegata's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Vegata is looking to control Toro's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vegata avoid being mounted? Vegata preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Toro is keen to just control but Vegata is a slippery customer. Vegata wants to control but Toro is keeping busy and won't allow it. Toro is trying to control the action in half guard but Vegata is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Vegata flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Toro is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vegata is looking for a sweep. Toro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toro wants to pass to mount but Vegata is defending the position. Toro is looking for a kimura but Vegata is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Toro to get the leverage. Toro will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Toro wants to control but Vegata is keeping him busy. Vegata avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Toro. Toro trying to control from half guard but Vegata is working away. Vegata looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Toro is keen to just control but Vegata is a slippery customer. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vegata makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vegata. Vegata wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Vegata controls Toro momentarily but Toro frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Toro stands and throws Vegata's legs to the side, diving into side control. Toro working away. Vegata is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Toro off and has taken his back! Vegata tries to keep control of the position but Toro is staying busy. Toro needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation. Vegata wants to control but Toro is keeping busy. Toro tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Toro is trying desperately to improve position. Vegata trying to control but he's not successful this time. Vegata putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Toro tries to reverse the position but Vegata maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vegata avoids the attempt from Toro to control. Toro manages to regain half guard. Good work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Toro pushes Vegata off looking to stand but Vegata dives back in and keeps control.
Vegata landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Vegata throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Vegata prevents Toro from improving his position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Vegata working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Toro is pressing down on Vegata's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Toro looking to control.
Toro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vegata defends well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Toro looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Toro is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Antonio Vegata will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Vegata pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Vegata keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Toro. Vegata closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Toro quickly recovers to half guard. Toro is trying to get back to full guard. Vegata seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Toro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vegata is working away from the top position though. Toro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Vegata is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Vegata wants to control the pace but Toro is squirming around nicely. Toro is trying to escape the mount.
BOOM! Vegata connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Vegata has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vegata breaks from Toro's wrist control and lands an elbow. Toro is looking to improve his position but Vegata isn't that keen on the idea. Vegata raining down hammerfists from mount. Vegata with a couple of short strikes. BOOM! Vegata connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Vegata pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Toro is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Toro is in all sorts of trouble here.
Toro is working hard here to advance position. Vegata has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Toro's face.

Toro is rocked! Toro tries to get back to half guard but can't. Oh Toro is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Vegata has control of Toro's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Toro regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vegata controlling from mount. Vegata drops a big elbow. That's hurt Toro! More shots from Vegata and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
