Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Big Pox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garrick Ballantyne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pox kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Same Song - Digital Underground. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Big Pox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pox has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Ballantyne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ballantyne pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pox is out of range and Ballantyne settles back down.
Ballantyne cracks Pox with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Pox lands with a straight right. Ballantyne didn't see that one coming.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Ballantyne! Pox is out on his feet! Ballantyne rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Pox is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Pox is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Garrick Ballantyne decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
