PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Cassavant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cassavant kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Bloodline by Slayer. Thomas Power told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cassavant pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Power scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Power fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cassavant.
Cassavant throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Power misses with a wild combination.
Cassavant swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cassavant throws a left and a right that both miss

and Power counters with a single leg into guard. Cassavant didn't expect that.

Power drops back looking for a leg! Cassavant is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cassavant manages to kick Power off! Power jumps back into Cassavant's guard.
Power trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Power advances position into side control!

Power has an Americana. Cassavant didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Power is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Power hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
