PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cung Lau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying West's choice of entrance music: Cee Lo Green - F-bomb. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robert West!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight stays on the outside here - West looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

West slaps away a takedown attempt from Lau, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Lau shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

and West connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Robert West showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
West is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lau can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Oh Lau is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Oooooh, big shot lands for West! Lau is hurt baaadly! West is firing away with more strikes - Lau is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
