Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Murray Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mother kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mr Guy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Murray Hewitt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Guy! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hewitt displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Guy throws out the jab. Guy looking to score a takedown here. Hewitt is defending well but Guy drives through and ends up in Hewitt's guard. Guy passes Hewitt's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Guy lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Guy slips a nice elbow through Hewitt's hands, connecting with Hewitt's forehead. Guy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hewitt's head. Guy wants to pass the guard but Hewitt is defending well. Guy stops Hewitt from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy is keen to just control but Hewitt is a slippery customer. Guy is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Guy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hewitt's head. Guy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hewitt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Guy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hewitt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mr Guy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Guy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hewitt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big right from Guy misses. Guy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hewitt circles away. Guy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hewitt.

Hewitt connects with a body shot that sends Guy's belly button to the back. Hewitt loads up on a big right hand but Guy slips the punch. Guy throws a jab when Hewitt was well out of range. Hewitt takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hewitt gets a clinch. Guy lands a shoulder strike. Guy misses with a hook to the ribs.
Guy prevents a body shot from Hewitt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hewitt lands an uppercut. Hewitt tries to throw a body punch but Guy avoids it by throwing Hewitt back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hewitt lands a hook to the side of the head. Guy swings wildly with an uppercut but Hewitt uses good head movement to avoid it. Hewitt misses with a hook from the clinch. Guy blocks a body shot from Hewitt. Guy swings wildly with an uppercut but Hewitt uses good head movement to avoid it. Hewitt misses with a hook from the clinch. Hewitt tries to throw a body punch but Guy avoids it by throwing Hewitt back against the cage. Guy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Guy throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hewitt uses it to pass to side control.
Guy is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hewitt off and has taken his back! Guy lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Hewitt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guy trying to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guy throws a series of strikes and Hewitt wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here. Hewitt is trying to stand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Guy landing strikes from the mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Guy dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hewitt ducks under a wild hook from Guy. Guy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hewitt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Guy somewhat. Guy avoids the body shot from Hewitt.
Hewitt moves into range and clinches up with Guy. Guy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hewitt fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Guy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hewitt looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hewitt! Guy thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Guy can't control as he wanted to and Hewitt manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Guy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hewitt tries to kick Guy off but Guy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hewitt blocking the ground and pound attempt from Guy. Hewitt is trying to stand back up but Guy is controlling him
Guy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hewitt keeps working. Guy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Guy wants to pass the guard but Hewitt is defending well. Guy is trying to control. Hewitt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Hewitt is trying to stand.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mr Guy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hewitt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Guy slips a straight right by Hewitt. Guy throws a shot from downtown. Hewitt moves away and avoids it. Guy throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Guy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hewitt lands a really nice looking cross but Guy seems unphased.
Guy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hewitt moves away. Hewitt stuffs the takedown. Murray Hewitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Guy. Guy digs a good body shot into Hewitt's ribs. Hewitt throws a predictable looking body shot
and Guy counters with a one-two to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hewitt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hewitt wants it to stay on the feet. Hewitt fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Guy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Guy. Guy with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hewitt to score with a decent uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hewitt lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hewitt. A bone on bone clash there as Guy blocks the leg kick.

Murray Hewitt is winning the standup battle so far. Guy misses with a straight right. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hewitt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Guy, pushing him back against the cage. Hewitt tries to work over Guy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Hewitt misses with a punch to the body.
Hewitt lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Murray Hewitt will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Hewitt misses with a looping right. Guy cracks Hewitt with a good jab. A jab from Hewitt finds it's way through Guy's defenses. Guy shoots for a double leg takedown but Hewitt sprawls well. He's pushed Guy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Guy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hewitt throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Hewitt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Guy fails with the takedown and Hewitt counters with a big head kick but Guy shrugs it off. Hewitt pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Guy gets the takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hewitt is looking to get back to his feet here but Guy is keeping cool and he's managed to take Hewitt's back. Mr Guy has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy lands a shot to the body. Guy is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Guy working for the choke. Guy has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hewitt's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guy wants to control but Hewitt is keeping busy. Hewitt has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guy punches the canvas rather than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guy missing with punches from the back. Guy lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Hewitt is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Well, with Guy on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Hewitt is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Hewitt covering up well under a barage of strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guy throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Guy goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Hewitt escapes and is now in half guard on top. Guy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hewitt wants to stand but Guy has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Mr Guy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Guy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
