Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Strauss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dux comes to the cage accompanied by Bloodsport - Fight to Survive. Strauss has chosen Shutterbugg - Big Boi Feat. Cutty as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Dux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Strauss!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dux wants to clinch up but Strauss keeps it at a distance.
Strauss doesn't manage to clinch there - Dux circles away.
Strauss slips a jab and a cross from Dux.
Strauss scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A looping hook to the body misses from Strauss. Dux does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dux looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dux dodges the punch combination from Strauss.
No luck for Dux with that takedown attempt.
Strauss lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dux circles away quickly and effectively.
Dux dives in and grabs Strauss's left leg, looking for a takedown. Strauss pushes down on Dux's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Dux. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Strauss rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dux moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dux drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Dux stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Strauss swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Strauss managing to control the position.
Strauss trying to keep a closed guard but Dux is proving a slippery customer.
Dux pushing down on Strauss's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Dux is looking for a kimura but Strauss is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dux to get the leverage.

Dux wants to advance to full mount but Strauss doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Dux pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Strauss is keeping the position for now.

Dux postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Strauss is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dux, into his guard.

Dux doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Dux looking for subs off his back but Strauss has passed one foot through into half guard.
Strauss wants to stand up but Dux is controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dux trying to control from the bottom.

Dux is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Strauss pulls his head out easily.
Strauss stops Dux from getting back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dux is looking to control Strauss's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dux avoid being mounted?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Dux dominated that round.

Dux shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Strauss defends it nicely.
Dux shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Strauss pinned against the cage. Strauss gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dux avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Strauss connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A slow jab from Dux misses its intended target.

Dux shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Strauss wants to get back to full guard but Dux has passed into side control.
Dux will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Strauss tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dux wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dux tries for a kimura but Strauss is defending well.
Dux has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Strauss wants to hold on but Dux pushes him away.
Strauss is squirming around, avoiding Dux's attempts to control the action.
Dux avoids the attempt from Strauss to control.

Dux sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Dux looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Strauss prevents Dux from taking his back.
Dux trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Strauss stops Dux from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dux has hold of Strauss's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Strauss manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dux throws some wild stikes that Strauss manages to avoid easily.
Dux is trying to take his opponent's back.

Dux is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Strauss has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Strauss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dux. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dux swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Strauss is now in Dux's guard. A big mistake from Dux there, giving up the dominant position!

Dux has an active guard here but Strauss has managed to pass into half guard.

Dux wants to improve his position but Strauss is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Strauss thows a left - swing and a miss!
Strauss throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Strauss is looking to clinch.
Strauss misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dux has a takedown stuffed.
Strauss displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Strauss bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dux's head.
Dux fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Dux. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Dux takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Strauss closes the distance and pushes Dux back into the cage.
Strauss swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Dux drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dux blocks an elbow strike.
A short right from Strauss on the inside.
Dux can't get the takedown.
Strauss lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Strauss throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Strauss lands a shoulder strike.
Strauss throws a punch but it's blocked by Dux.
Dux is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Strauss pulls him back up using the underhooks.
With the fighters up against the cage, Strauss throws an elbow but misses.
Dux is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Strauss is defending well for now.

Daniel Strauss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

With the fighters up against the cage, Strauss throws an elbow but misses.
A short right from Strauss on the inside.
Strauss misses with some punches.
Strauss lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Strauss lands an elbow just above Dux 's eye.
Dux tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Strauss avoids it.
Strauss gets underhooks to prevent Dux's takedown attempt.

Dux gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dux takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Dux is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dux missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dux throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Dux is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Strauss as he works his way to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strauss tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Strauss looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dux trying to control but Strauss is working from the bottom.
Frank Dux is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dux is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Strauss is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Dux is really struggling to control Strauss but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Frank Dux has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A jab from Strauss finds it's way through Dux's defenses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dux tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Strauss manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Frank Dux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dux wants to clinch up but Strauss keeps it at a distance.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Daniel Strauss.
I think Dux has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
