Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ossss Steve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iain Postlethwaite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ossss Steve! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Iain Postlethwaite! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steve fails with the takedown. Postlethwaite bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Postlethwaite thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Postlethwaite tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Postlethwaite blocks the strikes from Steve.
Postlethwaite tries to advance to mount but can't. Steve manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steve thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Steve is looking for a kimura but Postlethwaite is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Steve to get the leverage. Postlethwaite wants to control but Steve is keeping busy.
Postlethwaite is looking for a sweep. Steve is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Steve is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Postlethwaite defends it well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Steve decides to stand and escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steve keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Steve fails with the takedown so Postlethwaite counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Steve wants to stand up but Postlethwaite is controlling him. Postlethwaite must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Steve manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Postlethwaite is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Postlethwaite looks gassed! Steve misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Postlethwaite holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Steve tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Steve is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Steve extends the arm and Postlethwaite is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ossss Steve!
