Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Bateman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ou comes to the cage accompanied by Advance On. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bateman's choice of entrance music: Dio - Push. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bateman misses with a double jab
and Ou counters with a straight right hand.
Bateman takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bateman throws a hook to the side of Ou's head but Ou sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bateman throws a right and a left that Ou avoids nicely.
Bateman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bateman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Brock Bateman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ou takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Ou catches Bateman napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Bateman to the canvas!
It looks like Brock Bateman has been cut.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ou sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Bateman keeping moving, preventing Ou from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ou stands up and waves to Bateman to follow him.
Ou circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Bateman to the canvas! Bateman doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Ou keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Ou!
