Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Luc Picard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamato Damashii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Picard comes to the cage accompanied by The Picard Song. Damashii has chosen Ciemna Strefa as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yamato Damashii!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damashii throws a nice looking combination but Picard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Damashii with a poor takedown
and Picard counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Damashii fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Damashii closes the distance and clinches up with Picard, looking for a takedown. Damashii pushes Picard against the cage but Picard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jean Luc Picard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yamato Damashii.
Picard connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

and Picard counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Picard swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Damashii.
Damashii shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Picard bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Picard drops back, looking for a kneebar! Damashii looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Damashii looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Damashii!

Picard tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Damashii easily slips into full mount!
Damashii tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Picard tries to lock up and control but Damashii gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Picard is looking to improve his position but Damashii isn't that keen on the idea.

Damashii can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Picard is looking to escape.

Damashii shoots for a double leg takedown but Picard sprawls well. He's pushed Damashii's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Picard paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Picard gets caught napping as Damashii dives in and scores a takedown. Picard manages to retain guard.
Damashii wants to control from the top but Picard keeps moving.

Picard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Damashii pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Picard is keeping the position for now.

Picard lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Damashii!
Picard takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Damashii is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Picard wants to control the position but Damashii frees himself and scrambles - Picard manages to regain control in side control.
Picard moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Damashii is trying to control Picard's posture but Picard avoids it.

Damashii is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Picard's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Picard passes to full mount!
Picard seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Damashii is holding on tight.

Damashii is working to get back to half guard.
Picard is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Damashii can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Picard lands a nice shot that snaps Damashii's head back.
Picard stuffs the takedown attempt from Damashii. Damashii gets slowly back to his feet.
Picard moves out of range as Damashii strikes.
Damashii throws a jab when Picard was well out of range.
Picard lands with an overhand left.
Damashii tries to clinch but Picard moves out of range.

Picard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Damashii tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Picard is in Damashii's guard.
Picard wants to pass the guard but Damashii is keeping the position.
Picard postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Damashii is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Picard, into his guard.

Picard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Damashii gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Picard looking to control.
Picard is looking to sinch up a triangle. Damashii throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Picard's body to avoid the submission. Picard has instead reached around Damashii's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Picard arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
