The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cyder scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Weiss shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cyder counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cyder.
Cyder lands an elbow that stopped Weiss in his tracks for a moment.
Weiss wants to break free but Cyder has control.
Cyder lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Ross Weiss has been cut.
A body shot lands from Cyder.
Cyder's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Weiss misses with a takedown
and Cyder counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Weiss's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

and Cyder counters with a left and a right that stings Weiss.

Weiss changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cyder tries to avoid it but Weiss manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cyder to the ground. Cyder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ross Weiss hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cyder, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
