Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesper Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rush has chosen Tom Sawyer - Rush as his entrance music. Jesper Rush has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Lyoto Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jesper Rush! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rush will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Silva throws a head kick but Rush moves out of range.
Silva lands with a thumping leg kick.
Silva changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Silva works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Rush slips a straight right by Silva. A head kick misses from Silva. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rush counters with a takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rush is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Silva's shoulder. That is not cool. Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't. Silva is working hard here to advance position. Silva gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Rush lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is looking for a sweep. Rush is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rush thows a huge punch but Silva dodges it nicely.
Silva is trying to control but can't.
Rush has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rush is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silva has managed to free his arm - good work. Rush is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva wants to improve his position but Rush is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rush working the head and body with strikes. Rush trying to mount his opponent but Silva defends it. Rush thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silva's head. Rush is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Rush moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Silva. Rush is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Silva is trying to escape and Rush transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Silva is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rush! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jesper Rush! A very excited looking Jesper Rush rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
