Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel De Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lauritz Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Lucas's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Apaga mais não bate. The crowd seem to be enjoying Jensen's choice of entrance music: Limp Bizkit - My Way. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Lauritz Jensen enters the cage!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Lucas misses with a leg kick.
De Lucas goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
De Lucas slips a jab from Jensen.

De Lucas looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jensen avoids the body shot from De Lucas.
De Lucas throws a sloppy head kick and Jensen moves out of range easily.

Jensen gets caught napping as De Lucas dives in and scores a takedown. Jensen manages to retain guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lauritz Jensen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jensen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
De Lucas throws the left hand but Jensen avoids the punch easily.

Samuel De Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jensen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from De Lucas.

De Lucas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jensen's hands.
Jensen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from De Lucas.
Jensen closes the distance and clinches up with De Lucas, looking for a takedown. Jensen pushes De Lucas against the cage but De Lucas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
De Lucas moves away from the strike by Jensen.

De Lucas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Jensen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De Lucas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De Lucas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Jensen throws a right hand that De Lucas ducks under and follows up with a left that De Lucas also avoids with ease.
De Lucas bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Jensen doesn't succeed with the takedown

and De Lucas counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jensen is adopting a defensive guard.

De Lucas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jensen controls De Lucas momentarily but De Lucas frees himself.
De Lucas wants to control from the top but Jensen keeps moving.

De Lucas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jensen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of De Lucas, into his guard.

Jensen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
De Lucas is controlling Jensen's posture.
Jensen trying to control but De Lucas is working from the bottom.
De Lucas can't keep his opponent in guard - Jensen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Jensen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so De Lucas is just riding it out for now. Jensen eventually gives up the hold.

De Lucas keeping hold of Jensen's head, controlling as best he can.

Jensen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jensen working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. De Lucas is doing well to defend. Jensen seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! De Lucas is forced to tap and this one is over!

Lauritz Jensen tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
