Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Coates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Callaher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coates comes to the cage accompanied by The XX - Angels (Love Thy Brother Remix). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyler Coates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Connor Callaher! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callaher wants to clinch. Callaher doesn't manage to clinch there - Coates circles away.
Callaher throws a left and a right that both miss
and Coates counters with a takedown into side control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Coates wants to stand but Callaher has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Callaher working for a triangle but Coates defends it easily.
Callaher had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coates defends it easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Callaher working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Coates has passed into half guard!
Callaher regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Callaher is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Coates defends well. Coates trying to control but Callaher is working from the bottom. Coates got a little sloppy there for a moment and Callaher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Coates has managed to get both his arms back between Callaher's legs - danger averted. Callaher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Coates! Coates in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coates is trying to reverse the position but instead Callaher has taken his back - oops! Coates rolls, trying to escape but Callaher keeps control of the position.
Callaher is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Coates knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Coates for a finish. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Coates is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Callaher working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coates trying to get back to his feet but Callaher is in full control for now. Coates is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coates is keeping busy.
Callaher working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Coates is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Callaher has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Coates taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Connor Callaher!
