Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drunken Skunk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Martin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Drunken Skunk's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drunken Skunk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Martin!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin moves out of range of the strikes.

Skunk feints and as Martin raises his hands in defense, Skunk changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Martin trying to strike off his back.
Skunk wants to pass the guard but Martin is keeping the position.

Skunk stands and steps away. Martin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Martin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Martin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Martin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Martin looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Skunk regains half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Skunk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Skunk has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Martin is working away from the top position though.
Martin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Skunk is trying to stand back up but Martin is controlling him

Skunk is positioning himself well to prevent Martin advancing to mount.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Skunk darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Skunk is breathing heavily.
Martin tries to roll over but Skunk keeps him under control.
Martin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Martin is looking for a sweep. Skunk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Skunk is looking to take a break and control but Martin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Skunk missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Skunk is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Martin defends it well.
Martin is pressing down on Skunk's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Skunk has taken the fight to the clinch.

Skunk decides to pull guard.
Martin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Skunk is keeping the position for now.
Skunk preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Martin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Martin postures up in Skunk's guard and throws a big left but Skunk blocks it.

Skunk is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Martin throwing strikes but missing.
Skunk controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Martin throws a right and a left that Skunk avoids nicely.
Martin misses with a takedown attempt

and Skunk counters with a nice double leg into side control. Martin won't be happy with that.

Skunk looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Martin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Skunk's best efforts.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Skunk decides to stand and escape the position.

Skunk scores with a takedown into Martin's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Skunk is looking to stand up but Martin won't let him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Martin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Skunk's guard.

Skunk throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Martin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Martin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Skunk trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skunk is trying to control the position but Martin postures up.
Martin looking to pass the guard.

Skunk escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Martin lands a couple of decent looking shots.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Martin throws a series of punches but Skunk avoids them all with ease.
Nice sprawl there from Martin as Skunk shoots in.
A right-left combo lands from Martin.
Skunk looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Martin wants to clinch but Skunk slips to the side

so Skunk counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Martin trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drunken Skunk dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Martin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Skunk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Martin sprawls well initially but Skunk persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Martin works his way to full guard. Good work.

Skunk drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Skunk jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Skunk wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving.
Skunk has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Martin has his feet on Skunk's thighs here. He's pushed Skunk off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Skunk screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Charles Martin!
