Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joakim Broden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonny Chapman!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapman looks to land a combination but Broden avoids it well.
Broden connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Broden slips a jab and a cross from Chapman.
Chapman instigates a clinch.
Broden manages to break the clinch.
Chapman misses with the combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Broden. Chapman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chapman throws a nice looking combination but Broden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chapman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Good shot there by Broden.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chapman falls off balance throwing a combination
and Broden cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Broden dodges the punch combination from Chapman.
Chapman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Broden lands a glancing blow to the side of Chapman's head.
A left and a right from Broden both land. Nice combination.
Broden lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Chapman goes down and covers up as Broden starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joakim Broden!
