Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Therman Goodson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nanak Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Therman Goodson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nanak Singh! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goodson looks for a takedown but Singh sprawls well. Goodson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Singh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Singh throws a head kick but Goodson moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goodson blocks a head kick by Singh.

Goodson is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goodson is looking for a sweep. Singh wants to stand but Goodson has his arm trapped. Singh wants to control from the top but Goodson keeps moving. Goodson can't keep his opponent in guard - Singh advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Singh trying to control from half guard but Goodson is working away. Goodson is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Singh pulls his head out easily. Goodson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Singh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Singh's back! Singh controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goodson tightening his grip on Singh, looking for the choke. Singh tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Singh is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Goodson has hold of Singh's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Singh manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Goodson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Goodson is breathing heavily. Singh tries to hold on but Goodson pushes him away. Singh slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Singh is defending against the submission attempts here by Goodson.
Goodson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Singh wants to control but Goodson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Goodson stops Singh from getting back to his feet.
Goodson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Singh doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Goodson. Singh is trying to stand up here but Goodson is controlling him well. Singh trying to control here.
Goodson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Singh wants to hold on but Goodson pushes him away. Goodson looking to secure an arm triangle but Singh defends it well. Singh can't escape the position.
Singh wants to try and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Goodson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Singh's waist but Singh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Goodson off to one side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goodson shoots in for a takedown but Singh shows good takedown defense. Singh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Goodson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Singh pinned against the cage. Singh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Therman Goodson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Singh takes a swing at Goodson's ribcage but misses. Goodson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Singh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Goodson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Goodson slips a jab and a cross from Singh.
Singh swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Goodson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Singh. Singh obviously looking to wear him down.
Singh pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Goodson feints and as Singh raises his hands in defense, Goodson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Singh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goodson is one step ahead there. Singh is breathing heavily. Goodson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Goodson passes into half guard. Goodson prevents Singh from standing back up.
Goodson is working for a kimura but Singh is defending it quite comfortably.
Goodson seems to be looking for submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Singh tries to kick Goodson off but Goodson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nanak Singh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Goodson shoots in but Singh avoids the takedown attempt easily. Goodson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Therman Goodson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A nice leg kick lands there from Singh. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Singh stuffs the takedown attempt from Goodson. Goodson gets slowly back to his feet. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Singh! Goodson is out on his feet! Singh rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Goodson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Goodson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
