Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinnie Sproston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, John Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Vinnie Sproston!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clark gets tackled into the cage by Sproston. Sproston maintains the clinch.
Clark has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sproston is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Sproston wants to get back to striking at distance but Clark won't allow it.

Clark has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sproston regains guard immediately.

Sproston is wriggling around but Clark manages to pass to half guard.
Clark not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Sproston thuds a left hand into Clark's body.

Sproston moves into range and clinches up with Clark.
Sproston is trying to break the clinch but Clark is controlling him.
Clark has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sproston is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Clark. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sproston has had enough of the clinch but Clark keeps him there for the moment.

Clark is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sproston can't fight it off and eventually Clark manages to take the fight to the floor. Sproston looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sproston connects with a leg kick. Clark looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Clark looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Clark seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sproston for as long as he can get away with.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Sproston shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Clark as he jumps to the side.

Clark darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Clark looks to land a strike but Sproston avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

John Clark has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sproston stuffs the takedown.
Sproston tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Clark swivels and escapes.

Clark throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sproston was covering up waiting for the punch and Clark finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nice straight punches there by Sproston. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sproston.

Sproston pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Clark back to the cage. Sproston follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Clark blocks the elbow strike.
Sproston is looking to break free of the clinch but Clark has double underhooks.

Clark slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Clark postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sproston is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Clark, into his guard.

Clark is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sproston is controlling him.
John Clark overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I think Clark has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
