Cooper comes to the cage accompanied by Renegade by Jay-Z & Eminem. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul thows a left - swing and a miss!
Paul takes a swing at Cooper's ribcage but misses.
Paul feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cooper sprawling to the canvas! Cooper rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Paul finish him?!
It looks like KC Cooper has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cooper showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Paul.
Cooper fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Paul steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cooper.
Paul drops Cooper with a beautiful combination! Cooper stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Paul is looking for the KO!
Cooper is rocked!
Paul falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cooper counters with a right hand to the body.
Oh Cooper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Paul lands a nice hook to Cooper's body. Cooper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cooper is breathing heavily.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Paul moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Cooper! Paul continues to tee off on Cooper, landing with a left and a right! Paul connects with a right hand that leaves Cooper sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Paul!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Justin Paul!
Justin Paul got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
