Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Kulakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Pejkaiya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulakov comes to the cage accompanied by Lube-Shparu. Piotr Pejkaiya has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Viktor Kulakov's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pejkaiya has closed the distance and engaged Kulakov in a clinch.

Kulakov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Pejkaiya shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kulakov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kulakov wants to stand up but Pejkaiya is controlling him.
Pejkaiya wants to control from the top but Kulakov keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pejkaiya tries to free his leg and advance position but Kulakov is retaining full guard.
Kulakov is looking to stand up but Pejkaiya isn't so interested in that idea.
Pejkaiya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kulakov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pejkaiya is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kulakov misses with a series of wild punches.

Pejkaiya's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pejkaiya fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kulakov on the side of the head.
Pejkaiya tries to move into range but Kulakov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A left lands for Pejkaiya.
Pejkaiya is looking to clinch but Kulakov is avoiding it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Kulakov drops Pejkaiya with a beautiful combination! Pejkaiya stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kulakov is looking for the KO!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kulakov takes a swing at Pejkaiya's ribcage but misses.
Pejkaiya is still on wobbly legs! Can Kulakov finish him?
Pejkaiya jabs Kulakov right on the nose. Kulakov blinks but takes it well.
Pejkaiya seems to have recovered his senses.
Pejkaiya looks to land a right hand but Kulakov moved out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kulakov. Pejkaiya does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pejkaiya shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kulakov's guard.

Pejkaiya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kulakov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pejkaiya might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kulakov kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Piotr Pejkaiya.

Pejkaiya changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kulakov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kulakov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pejkaiya asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Pejkaiya uses his free foot to push down on Kulakov's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kulakov.

Pejkaiya is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kulakov has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kulakov!

Pejkaiya is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kulakov rolls with it to try and escape but Pejkaiya cranks on the arm and Kulakov is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
