Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenshin Himura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Trevally (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trevally has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenshin Himura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gavin Trevally!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Himura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trevally pinned against the cage. Trevally gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

so Himura counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Trevally keeping moving, preventing Himura from controlling successfully.
Trevally controlling the position.
Himura really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Trevally is trying to control the position but Himura postures up.
Himura trying to control but Trevally is working from the bottom.
Himura tries to free his leg and advance position but Trevally is retaining full guard.
Himura throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Trevally works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Himura trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Trevally misses with a takedown

and Himura counters by clinching up.
Trevally is pressed up against the cage. Himura has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Trevally down to the mat. Trevally avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kenshin Himura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gavin Trevally.
Himura lands a left and a right that sends Trevally crashing to the canvas! Himura dives into mount looking to finish!


Trevally is rocked!


It looks like Gavin Trevally has been cut.
Trevally tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Trevally is still in real trouble! Can Himura finish him?
Himura landing strikes, looking to finish!
Himura will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Trevally wants to get back to his feet.
Trevally looks gassed!

Himura goes for an armbar but Trevally turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Trevally.
Trevally seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Himura looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Trevally has picked Himura up and slammed him! Himura can't keep hold of the triangle and Trevally manages to pass to side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Himura tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Trevally trying to control the position but Himura is working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Himura is trying to improve his position.
Trevally tries to move to mount but Himura blocks the move with his legs.
Himura gets back to half guard.

Trevally is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Himura doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Trevally.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Trevally prevents Himura from improving his position.
Trevally trying to control the action but Himura is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenshin Himura dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Gavin Trevally's cut.
That's time! Himura's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Trevally shoots and misses

and Himura counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Himura slips nicely into half guard.
Himura trying to pass the guard but Trevally defending well.
Himura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trevally keeps working.
Himura wants to stand up but Trevally manages to regain full guard.
Trevally not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Himura drops back, looking for a kneebar! Trevally looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Trevally looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Trevally!
Trevally tries to move to mount but Himura blocks the move with his legs.
Himura on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Himura tries to get out of the position.

Trevally thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Trevally grinds an elbow into Himura's temple.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Trevally trying to control the action but Himura is working from the bottom.

Trevally has hold of Himura's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Himura tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Trevally cranks the arm and Himura screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Himura, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Gavin Trevally!
