Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nati Kuperman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlovski's entrance music is Bodies by Drowning Pool. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Arlovski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nati Kuperman! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuperman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arlovski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nati Kuperman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arlovski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Arlovski advances to half guard. Arlovski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kuperman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Arlovski. Arlovski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kuperman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kuperman controlling the position. Arlovski is looking to work some ground and pound but Kuperman has wrist control. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Arlovski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kuperman but Kuperman pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's one minute gone in the round. Arlovski controls Kuperman momentarily but Kuperman frees himself. Kuperman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kuperman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Arlovski is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Arlovski has escaped and now he's on top! Kuperman is breathing heavily. Kuperman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Arlovski is pushing down on Kuperman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kuperman is fighting to maintain full guard but Arlovski has managed to sneak the leg through. Kuperman is looking for a sweep. Arlovski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Arlovski tries to pass to full mount but Kuperman defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kuperman gets full guard.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Arlovski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Arlovski working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Arlovski passes Kuperman's left leg - he's now in half guard. Arlovski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kuperman is just riding it out for now. Arlovski eventually gives up the hold. Kuperman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Arlovski scoring with strikes to the body and head. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Arlovski is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kuperman stops Arlovski from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Arlovski wants to control the pace but Kuperman is squirming around nicely. Arlovski is working for a guillotine from mount but Kuperman frees his head quite easily.
Arlovski has control of Kuperman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kuperman regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Arlovski will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Arlovski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kuperman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Arlovski. Well Arlovski has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
