Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sic Wit It!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johny Walsh!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Wit It looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wit It tries to clinch up but Walsh circles away and keeps his distance.
Wit It gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Wit It fails with a takedown attempt.
Walsh ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wit It misses with a takedown
and Walsh counters with a straight right hand.
Wit It tries for a takedown but Walsh circles away easily
and Walsh counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wit It thinking.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sic Wit It. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Walsh lunges at Wit It with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wit It's hand.
Wit It throws an overhand right that lands on Walsh's shoulder, as Walsh tries to avoid the shot.
Wit It takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Walsh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Wit It is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Walsh asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The strikes coming from Walsh are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Walsh connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wit It some visible discomfort.

Walsh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wit It keeps working.

Walsh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wit It. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Walsh throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Wit It is trying to control Walsh's posture but Walsh avoids it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wit It sneaks back into half guard.
Wit It is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Walsh scores with a couple of nice shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walsh not doing much here.
Walsh lands with a punch from half guard.

Wit It is trying to stand.
Wit It is breathing heavily.
Walsh stalling.
Walsh working over Wit It with some ground and pound. Wit It looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Walsh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wit It pushes Walsh off looking to stand but Walsh dives back in and keeps control.
Wit It on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Walsh is nestled in close to Wit It, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Walsh is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Wit It keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Wit It has hold of Walsh's hands but Walsh slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walsh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Walsh is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Wit It is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walsh is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Walsh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johny Walsh dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Walsh connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wit It. Wit It circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Oh Wit It is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sic Wit It seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walsh throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Wit It crashing down! Wit It tries to stagger back to his feet but Walsh just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Wit It asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johny Walsh!
