Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sonne - Rammstein. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell throws a jab but it's blocked by Smith.
Maxwell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Ross Maxwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Smith throws an elbow that misses. Maxwell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Smith's guard. Nice move by Maxwell!
Smith avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Maxwell trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Maxwell trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Maxwell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Maxwell distracts Smith with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Smith is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Smith might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Maxwell kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Maxwell throws a strike but Smith rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Maxwell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Maxwell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smith is one step ahead there.

Maxwell is controlling Smith's posture.
Maxwell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Smith!
Maxwell with shots to the head and body - Smith looks very uncomfortable down there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Smith is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maxwell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Maxwell misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
A nice elbow there by Maxwell.
Maxwell is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Smith has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Smith is bucking up trying to escape but Maxwell cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Maxwell throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Smith because Maxwell loaded up on that one.

Smith tries to hold on but Maxwell pushes him away.
Maxwell throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Smith working to try and regain half guard.
Maxwell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Smith is looking to escape.
Smith wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Maxwell.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smith can do anything to dispel that myth.

Maxwell in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

An intense looking Ross Maxwell took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'I already moved on after that disappointing loss. This time, I executed my gameplan carefully, done little mistakes and got this important win. I hope this is another beginning of my solid career. I believe at my potential and its up to me to use them wisely.'.
