Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolando Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). shannon comes into the arena with yesterdays headlines blaring out of the sound system. Garcia is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sound And Fury - I've Got Rabies. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Rolando Garcia enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
shannon moves out of range of the leg kick from Garcia.
shannon misses with a head kick.
shannon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Garcia stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Nick shannon has been cut.
Nick shannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garcia keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
shannon tries to clinch but Garcia moves out of range.
Garcia avoids the head kick by shannon.

shannon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Garcia decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garcia works his foot free and advances to mount.

Garcia connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Garcia is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. shannon is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. shannon flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Garcia anticipates the leg and manages to get behind shannon and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Garcia slips an arm under shannon chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Garcia has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Garcia is squeezing on shannon like an anaconda would it's prey. shannon fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
