Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jordao Fonseca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Decofernando Fernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fonseca comes to the cage accompanied by Carlinhos Brown - Carlito Marron. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jordao Fonseca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Decofernando Fernando! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fernando shoots in and gets a takedown into Fonseca's guard. Fernando slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Fernando stops Fonseca from standing up. Fernando seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Fonseca is trying to control the position but Fernando postures up. Fernando pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fonseca is keeping the position for now.
Decofernando Fernando has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Fernando staying out of range there. Fernando is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fonseca throws a leg kick and Fernando holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Good body shot from Fernando.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fonseca pulls guard effortlessly. Fonseca seems keen to control Fernando's posture. Fernando must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fernando sitting in guard here, content to control. Fernando missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fonseca pulls Fernando in close to his closed guard and prevents Fernando from doing any damage or advancing position. Fernando controls from within his opponent's guard.
We're going to have a standup here because Jordao Fonseca wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Fernando swats away the attempt to clinch by Fonseca.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fernando fails with a takedown attempt. Fernando shoots in for a takedown but Fonseca shows good takedown defense. A head kick misses from Fernando. Fonseca with a lazy takedown attempt and Fernando counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fonseca won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fonseca is trying to get back to half guard. Fernando working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fonseca gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Fonseca working to try and regain half guard.
Fonseca is breathing heavily. Fernando looking to control but Fonseca is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Fernando tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fernando looking to ground and pound but Fonseca is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fernando content just to control the position here. Fonseca wants to hold on but Fernando pushes him away. Fonseca in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fernando avoids the attempt from Fonseca to control. Fonseca is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Fonseca might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fernando is trying to control here but Fonseca has managed to regain half guard.
Fonseca is refusing to be controlled, as Fernando sits in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Decofernando Fernando dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Fonseca throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Fonseca shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fernando as he jumps to the side. Fernando tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fonseca swivels and escapes. Fonseca shoots in for a takedown but Fernando shows good takedown defense. Fernando tries to sprawl but Fonseca drives through with a takedown into half guard. Fernando is looking for a sweep. Fonseca is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fernando strikes from the bottom but Fonseca passes into mount!
Fernando is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fonseca lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fernando hang on? Fernando manages to regain half guard. Good work. Fonseca content to control rather than advance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fonseca lands strikes from half guard. Fonseca trying to control from half guard but Fernando is working away. Fernando trying to hold on to Fonseca's head to control him but Fonseca postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fonseca controlling the pace. Fernando trying to control here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fernando moves into the clinch. Fonseca is looking to break free of the clinch but Fernando has double underhooks. Fernando pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fonseca throws a right and a left that Fernando avoids nicely. Fonseca pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fernando closes the distance and clinches. Fonseca swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fonseca has had enough of the clinch but Fernando keeps him there for the moment. Fonseca has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fernando regains guard immediately. Fonseca wants to control from the top but Fernando keeps moving. Fonseca looking to pass the guard. Fonseca has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fernando is proving hard to escape from. Fonseca stands up and waves to Fernando to follow him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fernando closes the distance and pushes Fonseca back into the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Fernando as Fonseca tries to tie him up. Fernando tightens his grip and picks Fonseca up, before dumping him to the ground. Fonseca manages to land in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Fernando stands and throws Fonseca's legs to the side, diving into side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fernando is trying to get an arm triangle but Fonseca is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jordao Fonseca will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Fernando just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordao Fonseca. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fonseca looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Fernando ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fernando no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Fonseca makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Decofernando Fernando has got the better of the ground game so far. Fonseca trying to control the position from guard on top but Fernando is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fonseca is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fernando is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fernando not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fernando manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fonseca is looking to improve his position but Fernando isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fernando landing strikes from the mount. Fernando looking to control and managing it successfully. Fonseca is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Fonseca tries to improve his position but instead Fernando has taken his back! I would not like to be Fonseca right now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fernando looking for the RNC. Fonseca rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Fonseca wants to get back to full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fonseca is concentrating on defense, preventing Fernando from advancing position.
And that's the end of the fight! Decofernando Fernando comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Fernando has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
