Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joey Gomez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kazushi Sakuraba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joey Gomez!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba lands a jab to the nose.
Sakuraba jabs at Gomez's body.
Gomez tries for a takedown but Sakuraba sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gomez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sakuraba stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gomez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice jab there from Sakuraba.
Gomez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gomez shoots in looking for a takedown. Sakuraba tries to sprawl out of it but Gomez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Sakuraba manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kazushi Sakuraba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Gomez.
Sakuraba scores with a jab to the head.
Sakuraba lands a nice shot that snaps Gomez's head back.
Gomez throws a push kick but Sakuraba slaps the foot to one side.
Sakuraba stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sakuraba lands a big uppercut and Gomez crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gomez looks OK. Sakuraba waves Gomez back to his feet!
Gomez is rocked!

Gomez is still on wobbly legs! Can Sakuraba finish him?
A big right from Sakuraba misses.
Gomez looks for the body kick but Sakuraba saw that one coming.
Gomez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sakuraba lands with a right and another and another! Gomez is in big trouble! Sakuraba lands again and this time it's lights out for Gomez! A quality knockout there for Sakuraba.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kazushi Sakuraba!
A very excited looking Kazushi Sakuraba rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
