The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a double jab.

Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones scores with a nice strike.
Smith takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like DeAndre Smith has been cut.
Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smith can do anything to dispel that myth.

Smith takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Jones's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
