Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Darnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raimundo Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raimundo Oliveira told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darnell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oliveira tries to avoid it but Darnell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oliveira to the ground. Oliveira escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Darnell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Horrible takedown by Darnell or perhaps it was just good defense by Oliveira which made him look bad.

Oliveira lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Darnell throws a nice looking combination but Oliveira bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Raimundo Oliveira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Darnell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Oliveira looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Oliveira looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Oliveira!

Oliveira is stalking Darnell. Darnell circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Oliveira, and it's lights out! Darnell really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
