Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Slim Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Surov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim comes into the arena with Any blaring out of the sound system. Surov has chosen Amphetamines as his entrance music. Alexei Surov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Slim Jim! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexei Surov! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jim checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Jim thows a body shot but no joy. Jim looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Slim Jim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jim takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Surov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jim throws a sloppy head kick and Surov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Surov. Surov digs a right hand into Jim's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jim's gas tank. Jim tries to circle away but Surov has him pinned against the cage. Jim is working Surov over against the cage. Surov tries to pull guard but Jim won't allow it.
Jim has had enough of the clinch but Surov keeps him there for the moment. Jim lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Surov backwards.
It looks like Alexei Surov has been cut. Jim escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Surov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Surov is working for a kimura but Jim is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jim is looking to escape. Surov seems to be looking for submissions.
Surov drops an elbow to the side of Jim's head. Surov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Surov cracks Jim with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Surov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jim is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Surov with a couple of short strikes.
Jim is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oooh a big shot lands for Surov! Jim is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Alexei Surov! Alexei Surov is the new welterweight champion! Alexei Surov seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
