Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Russ Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Multi Punch!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punch gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wilson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Punch closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wilson quickly recovers to half guard.
Wilson tries to get to full guard but Punch has control of the leg.
Punch lands strikes from half guard.
Punch sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Punch passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Wilson!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Punch looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Wilson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wilson wants to hold on but Punch pushes him away.
Punch tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Wilson wants to control but Punch is having none of it.
Wilson manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Wilson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wilson tries to get out of the position.
Wilson is looking to control Punch's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wilson avoid being mounted?
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Wilson pushes Punch off and gets back to his feet.

Wilson leaves Punch with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Punch misses with a takedown attempt - Wilson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Punch tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wilson swivels and escapes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Punch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wilson tries to avoid it but Punch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wilson to the ground. Wilson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Punch is looking to take a break and control but Wilson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

and Wilson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Multi Punch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

so Wilson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Punch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Punch is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilson defends well.

Wilson stands up over Punch, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Punch wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That was a close second round but I would say that Russ Wilson will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Wilson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Punch can't fight it off and eventually Wilson manages to take the fight to the floor. Punch looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Punch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Punch is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
