Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dre Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Quattro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Quattro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dre Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Quattro!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quattro is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Parker takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


It looks like Dre Parker has been cut.
Quattro scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Parker doesn't seem bothered though.
Parker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Quattro misses with the combination.
Parker throws a hook but Quattro blocks it.
Parker throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Quattro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Quattro moves out of range as Parker strikes.

Quattro gets the takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
You can see the frustration on Parker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Parker avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Quattro.

Quattro thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Sloppy strikes there by Quattro.

Quattro is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Parker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Quattro working the ground and pound but Parker is defending the strikes.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Quattro is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Parker has escaped the position, nice work there.
The referee asks Quattro politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Quattro prefers to stall for the moment though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Quattro goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Parker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Quattro but great work by Parker.
Quattro tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Parker controlling well, preventing Quattro from escaping the position.

Parker gets to his feet! The crowd go wild in anticipation of a knockout!
Parker thows a body kick. Quattro tries to catch it but that hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Quattro blocks a jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Parker connects with a crisp jab.
Quattro uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Quattro scores with a hook.
A left and a right from Quattro both land. Nice combination.
Quattro fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Parker lands with a thumping leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Parker scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Quattro swinging wildly here.
Quattro uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Parker.
Quattro missing with a left hand there. Parker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Parker feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Quattro's calf.
Parker thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Quattro if he has to take too many more of those.
Quattro looks gassed!
Parker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Parker lands with a good body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Parker moves into range and connects with a jab.
Parker lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Parker feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Quattro's calf.
Quattro takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Parker lands a big uppercut and Quattro crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Quattro looks OK. Parker waves Quattro back to his feet!


Quattro is rocked!
Quattro gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Parker gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Quattro is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dre Parker!
