Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zack Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zack Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Turner!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens looks for the body kick but Turner saw that one coming.
Turner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stevens counters with a series of strikes. Turner will be more careful next time no doubt.
Stevens takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nice sprawl there from Turner as Stevens shoots in.
Stevens avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stevens fails with a takedown attempt.
Turner thows a left - swing and a miss!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stevens.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zack Stevens. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Turner misses with a hook. Stevens ducked under it nicely.
Turner throws a hook to the side of Stevens's head but Stevens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Turner looks to land a right hand but Stevens moved out of range.

Turner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stevens.

Stevens fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Turner slaps away a takedown attempt from Stevens, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Turner jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Stevens lands a body shot.
Turner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Turner scores with a nice head shot.
Turner misses with a wild combination.
Stevens fails with the takedown.

Turner misses with a jab, cross combination.
Stevens walks into a straight right hand from Turner.
Stevens throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Turner's waist but Turner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stevens off to one side.

Turner gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A frustrated look appears on Stevens's face as he tries to break the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stevens tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Turner smiles and moves away.
Turner swinging wildly here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stevens is defended easily by Turner.
Stevens is breathing heavily.

Turner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Turner keeps Stevens at a distance using the push kick.
No luck for Stevens with that takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Turner tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Turner dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Stevens takes a shot to the head.
Turner lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Stevens or not.

Stalling in the clinch from Turner.
Turner throws a head punch that misses.
Turner is pushing Stevens up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Stevens.
A nice left hand lands by Turner.
Stevens tries to pull guard but Turner won't allow it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turner stalling.
Turner swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Turner trying to land knees to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stevens trying to stall but Turner improves his position.
Turner tries to land a knee to the head but Stevens blocks with his arms.
Turner slowing the pace effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Turner dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Turner cracks Stevens with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Turner in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Turner lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Turner swinging wildly here.
Turner looks to land a combination but Stevens avoids it well.
Stevens shoots for a double leg takedown but Turner sprawls well. He's pushed Stevens's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Stevens clinches with his opponent.
Turner lands with a short shot to the head.
Stevens tries to pull guard but Turner forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Stevens is looking to take this one to the mat.

Stevens drops down looking for an ankle pick but Turner pulls his leg out and moves away.
A head kick from Turner lands but Stevens takes it in his stride.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Turner fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stevens, pushing him back against the cage.
Turner has Stevens pressed against the cage.
Turner lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Stevens backwards.
Turner landing knees to the body.
Turner slowing the pace effectively.
Stevens is trying to break the clinch but Turner is controlling him.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Turner creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Stevens has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Turner is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Stevens jumps guard but Turner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Turner misses with a knee strike.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Turner throws a knee to the head but misses.
Reggie Turner seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Turner throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Stevens blocks it with crossed arms.
Turner scores with a shot to the side of Stevens's head.
Stevens wants to take the fight to the mat but Turner manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Turner content to slow the pace in the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Turner takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Stevens jumps guard but Turner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Turner makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Stevens is trying to pull guard but Turner turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Stevens wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Turner has him pressed against the cage.
Turner with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Turner tries to land a knee to the head but Stevens blocks with his arms.
Stevens blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Turner is struggling to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Turner throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Stevenss head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Stevens shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turner pinned against the cage. Turner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Turner listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Turner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stevens circles away quickly and effectively.
Stevens on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Stevens misses with a takedown attempt - Turner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stevens closes this distance looking for a takedown but Turner circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zack Stevens. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stevens tries to close the distance and clinch but Turner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Stevens. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Stevens misses with a takedown attempt - Turner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stevens closes the distance and clinches up with Turner, looking for a takedown. Stevens pushes Turner against the cage but Turner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Turner throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stevens.

Turner has managed to clinch.
Turner lands a body punch in the clinch.

Turner connects with a nasty looking knee right to Stevens's face.

Turner effectively controlling the action here.
Stevens drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Turner gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Stevens is rocked!
Turner has Stevens pressed against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Come on Turner - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Turner lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Oh Stevens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stevens tries for a takedown. No joy.
Stevens seems to have got his legs back now.
Turner makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Turner displaying some good clinch control by pressing Stevens up against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Turner creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Turner throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Stevenss head.

Turner's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Turner working the clinch nicely. Stevens is working for position but Turner cracks him with a big knee to the head! Stevens crumples up against the cage and Turner lands two more shots before the ref can save Stevens! This one is all over!

Our winner, Reggie Turner, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
