Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Knot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wallace St Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Edwards has chosen Habs Goal Song as his entrance music. Wallace St Edwards will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gordon Knot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wallace St Edwards! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Edwards manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Knot on his heels. He'll look to pass Knot's guard now, I'm sure. St Edwards working some strikes from top position. St Edwards prevents Knot from getting back to his feet. Knot might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Knot is trying to control the position but St Edwards postures up. Knot wants to sweep here but St Edwards controlling him for the moment. Knot is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. St Edwards makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Knot wants to get back to his feet but St Edwards is in a dominant position and won't allow it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as St Edwards accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Edwards is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. St Edwards landing with the ground and pound. Knot looking for a sweep. Not yet Knot, not yet. Knot preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Knot is trying to control the position but St Edwards postures up. St Edwards tries to free his leg and advance position but Knot is retaining full guard. St Edwards pushes down on Knot's leg and manages to get into half guard. St Edwards lands with a punch from half guard. Knot has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. St Edwards is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from St Edwards. St Edwards controlling the action here. Knot tries to kick St Edwards off but St Edwards keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! St Edwards looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. St Edwards is looking to take a break and control but Knot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. St Edwards working Knot over with strikes. St Edwards is looking to advance position but Knot won't allow it. St Edwards is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Knot is defending against the submission attempts here by St Edwards.
Knot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for St Edwards on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Edwards trying to mount his opponent but Knot defends it. St Edwards with the ground and pound but Knot uses the opportunity to regain guard. Knot is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. St Edwards postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. St Edwards postures up in Knot's guard and throws a big left but Knot blocks it. St Edwards wants to control from the top but Knot keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wallace St Edwards dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Knot takes a shot right to the bread basket. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! St Edwards shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Knot as he jumps to the side. St Edwards throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
St Edwards gets in close and instigates a clinch. St Edwards avoids the elbow strike from Knot, against the cage.

Knot putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has St Edwards in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. St Edwards takes an elbow to the forehead. St Edwards lands a body shot. Knot has had enough of the clinch but St Edwards keeps him there for the moment. Knot's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Knot stalling in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. St Edwards lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Knot is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. St Edwards is pressing down on Knot's thigh, looking to free his foot. Knot is holding on for now. St Edwards not landing any meaningful shots this time. St Edwards stalling. Knot wants to get back to full guard. St Edwards missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Knot won't allow St Edwards to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. St Edwards moves nicely into side control. St Edwards is trying to get an arm triangle but Knot is defending well. St Edwards advances to full mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Knot in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Knot is in all sorts of trouble here.
