PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenichi Uzomaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucius Maltheus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maltheus has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenichi Uzomaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucius Maltheus!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzomaki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maltheus.
Maltheus looks gassed!
Maltheus throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Uzomaki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Maltheus throws the left hand but Uzomaki avoids the punch easily.
Uzomaki misses with a jab, cross combination.

Uzomaki shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Uzomaki stands up out of the half guard.

Uzomaki moves into range and clinches up with Maltheus.

Uzomaki has hold of one of Maltheus's legs. Maltheus is fighting the takedown attempt but Uzomaki gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Uzomaki is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Uzomaki drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Uzomaki seems to have locked his on tight now - Maltheus screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Uzomaki, as he picks up the win!
