Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Martyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martyn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Live For The Moment. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Martyn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Hess! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hess dives in and grabs Martyn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Martyn pushes down on Hess's head and hops out. Thomas Martyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martyn throws a head kick but Hess moves out of range.
Hess shoots in looking for a takedown. Martyn tries to sprawl out of it but Hess keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Martyn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Martyn rushes Hess and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Martyn scores a nice knee to the body.
Hess wants to break free but Martyn has control.
Martyn is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hess pulls him back up using the underhooks. Martyn has Hess pushed against the cage. Hess is trying to force a seperation but Martyn has the dominant position. Hess is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Martyn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hess shoots in looking for a takedown but Martyn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hess's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Thomas Martyn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Hess. Hess slips a jab and a cross from Martyn.
Hess fails with the takedown and Martyn counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Martyn. Martyn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hess. Martyn looks to score with a jab to the body but Hess is just out of range. Hess shoots and misses and Martyn counters with a good, hard body kick but Hess shrugs it off. Martyn cracks the inside of Hess's front leg. Martyn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Martyn gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hess wants to stall.
Martyn wants to take the fight to the mat but Hess manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Martyn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hess closes the distance and clinches up with Martyn, looking for a takedown. Hess pushes Martyn against the cage but Martyn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Martyn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hess decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Martyn's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Martyn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hess is controlling him. Martyn is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martyn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nice takedown defense from Martyn. No joy for Hess on that attempt. Martyn looks to land a combination but Hess avoids it well. Hess shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Martyn sprawls well. Martyn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hess gets slowly back to his feet. Martyn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hess looking for submissions off his back. Hess looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hess is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Martyn pulls his head out easily. Hess looking for a kimura from the bottom but Martyn passes into side control! Martyn decides to take the fight back to the feet. Martyn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Martyn thuds his shin into the meat of Hess's side. Martyn throws a head kick that Hess semi-blocks.
Hess fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hess is trying hard to land a takedown here. Martyn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hess looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martyn scores to the head and body with a nice combination! This has been an exciting period of action! Hess has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Martyn finds it's way round the side to connect with Hess's head. Martyn scores with a three punch combo!
Martyn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hess. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hess shoots in but no luck this time. Hess dodges the punch combination from Martyn.
Martyn dives in and scores a takedown into Hess's guard. Martyn gets to his feet - Hess follows without any prompting. Martyn goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Martyn scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Hess tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martyn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hess somewhat. Danga de danga de dang - Martyn scores with a four punch combination! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Martyn dominated that round. That's time! Martyn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Martyn lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Martyn stuffs the takedown attempt from Hess. Hess gets slowly back to his feet. Martyn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hess. Martyn lands a head kick!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hess. Thomas Martyn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Hess. Martyn lands with a hook. Hess tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Hess fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Martyn lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Hess is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice body punch from Martyn. Hess is still on wobbly legs! Can Martyn finish him? Sloppy strikes from Martyn. Those never looked like landing. Hess is breathing heavily. Martyn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hess. Hess misses with a takedown attempt and Martyn counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Hess! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Thomas Martyn!
