1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shinya Hashimoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kakashi Sensei! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sensei tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sensei gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hashimoto is stalling in the full guard. Hashimoto's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Hashimoto has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hashimoto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Shinya Hashimoto has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hashimoto with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sensei to score with a decent uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sensei with a poor takedown and Hashimoto makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Sensei has his takedown stuffed and Hashimoto counters with a slapping leg kick. Sensei has his takedown stuffed and Hashimoto counters with a solid body kick. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shinya Hashimoto. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Hashimoto - that will leave a mark!
Kakashi Sensei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sensei misses with a takedown attempt and Hashimoto makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Sloppy strikes from Sensei. Those never looked like landing. Sensei looks gassed! Sensei fails with the takedown and Hashimoto counters with a body kick that stops Sensei in his tracks momentarily. Sensei gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hashimoto to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hashimoto postures up.

We're going to have a standup here because Shinya Hashimoto wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sensei misses with a leg kick and Hashimoto counters with a slapping leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hashimoto dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sensei. That did some damage! Hashimoto scores with a takedown into Sensei's guard. Hashimoto is pushing down on Sensei's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sensei is fighting to maintain full guard but Hashimoto has managed to sneak the leg through. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sensei tries to clinch The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. and Hashimoto counters with a low kick, right behind Sensei 's knee. Sensei misses with a hook. Kakashi Sensei is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hashimoto fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sensei to the ground. Hashimoto is now in Sensei's guard. Hashimoto forces his way into half guard. Hashimoto perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hashimoto wants to free his trapped foot but Sensei is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hashimoto controlling the action here.

Sensei moves to clinch but Hashimoto breaks away so Hashimoto counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hashimoto controls from within his opponent's guard. Hashimoto looking to pass the guard. Sensei looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hashimoto is one step ahead there.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hashimoto in particular looking to stall.

He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hashimoto fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sensei. A chopping leg kick lands by Hashimoto. Sensei throws a head kick that misses. Sensei misses with a leg kick. Hashimoto blocks a head kick by Sensei.
Sensei gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hashimoto counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sensei won't be happy with that. Hashimoto controls the position from side control. Hashimoto works to advance to full mount. Sensei defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Sensei takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hashimoto controlling from mount.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shinya Hashimoto. Hashimoto thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sensei if he has to take too many more of those.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Sensei enables Hashimoto to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sensei manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hashimoto showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Shinya Hashimoto overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hashimoto moves nicely into side control. You can see the frustration on Sensei's face as Hashimoto controls the position. Sensei is trying to buck Hashimoto off. Hashimoto is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sensei's shoulder. That is not cool. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

And that's the end of the fight! Shinya Hashimoto showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hashimoto has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
