Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hitoshi Matsumoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sang Min Kim!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kim crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Matsumoto - the referee stops the clock and Kim gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Matsumoto. Kim manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kim throws a low kick but Matsumoto avoids it.
Kim looks for the body kick but Matsumoto saw that one coming.
Matsumoto lands a head shot.
Matsumoto avoids the body shot from Kim.
Matsumoto lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Matsumoto checks a leg kick.
Kim throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kim misses with an attempted mid kick.
Matsumoto scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kim in his tracks.
Nice straight punches there by Matsumoto. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Matsumoto.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kim walks into a jab.
Kim misses with a body kick.
Kim tries for a takedown but Matsumoto circles away easily
and Kim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Matsumoto scores with a sloppy right hand. Kim should have avoided that one.
Sang Min Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kim misses with a takedown attempt - Matsumoto sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Matsumoto moves out of range of the strikes.
Matsumoto connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Matsumoto is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Kim swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Matsumoto throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Matsumoto sprawls well. Matsumoto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kim gets slowly back to his feet.
Hitoshi Matsumoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sang Min Kim.
Kim misses the jab.
Matsumoto with a body punch. A glancing blow.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Matsumoto checks a leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Matsumoto. That's going to slow Kim down.
Matsumoto scores with a shot to the body.
Matsumoto lands a lovely overhand right.
Kim misses with a lunging right hand
and Matsumoto counters with a nice leg kick.
Kim throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Matsumoto fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kim on the side of the head.
Matsumoto is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kim lands a nice looking body kick.
Matsumoto checks a leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Matsumoto, right into the meat.
Matsumoto cracks Kim with an open hand slap.
Kim misses with a hook. Matsumoto ducked under it nicely.
Matsumoto uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


Kim is rocked!
Matsumoto fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kim is still on wobbly legs! Can Matsumoto finish him?
Kim looks gassed!
Matsumoto throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kim has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Matsumoto.
Kim stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Matsumoto.
Kim gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Matsumoto gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hitoshi Matsumoto!
During a confident post fight interview, Hitoshi Matsumoto thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
