Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Avergon Nomral!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Phil Enis!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Enis moves into the clinch successfully.
Nomral tries to pull guard but Enis holds him up against the cage and eventually Nomral drops back down to his feet.
Nomral will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Enis up against the cage.
Enis has Nomral pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nomral manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Nomral wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Enis has him pressed against the cage.
Enis lands an elbow inside that Nomral shrugs off.
Nomral keeps control of Enis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Enis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nomral drops down looking for an ankle pick but Enis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nomral misses with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Enis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nomral to the mat! Nomral manages to get full guard.

Nomral is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Enis wants to control from the top but Nomral keeps moving.
Nomral preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Nomral is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nomral tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nomral can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Enis controls the pace.

Nomral is working an open guard so Enis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nomral is breathing heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Enis looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Nomral throws a sloppy head kick and Enis moves out of range easily.
Enis closes the distance and clinches up with Nomral, looking for a takedown. Enis pushes Nomral against the cage but Nomral circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Avergon Nomral has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Enis.
Enis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nomral swivels and escapes.
Nomral fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Enis.

Enis trying to control but Nomral postures up.
Enis is staying active underneath Nomral, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Nomral throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Nomral gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Nomral avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Enis tries to bum rush Nomral with a series of wild strikes but Nomral uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Enis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Enis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nomral, up you get!

and Enis counters with a single leg into guard. Nomral didn't expect that.

Enis is pulling down on Nomral's head. It's preventing any offense from Nomral, at least for the moment.

and Enis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nomral won't be happy with that.

Enis stands up and beckons Nomral to his feet.

Enis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nomral's waist but Nomral gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Enis off to one side.
Enis is breathing heavily.

Nomral forces Enis back against the cage and clinches.

Nomral manages to break the clinch.
Nomral shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Enis counters with a two punch combo.
Nomral tries to clinch up but Enis circles away and keeps his distance.

Nomral closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Enis to the mat! Enis manages to get full guard.
Nomral wanted to stand there but Enis had control of the position.
Phil Enis has got the better of the ground game so far.
Nomral trying to control but Enis is working from the bottom.

Nomral trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Enis manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Enis won't allow Nomral to get back to his feet.

Enis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nomral's head.
Enis slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Enis tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Enis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Nomral is looking to reverse the position.
Nomral looks to move to half guard but instead Enis has passed into mount! Damn!
Enis looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nomral is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nomral is working hard here to advance position.
Enis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Nomral tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Nomral is trying to stand.
The referee warns Nomral that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Nomral wants to control but Enis is having none of it.
Enis with shots to the head and body - Nomral looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phil Enis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Enis shoots and misses
and Nomral counters with a head kick. That will keep Enis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Nomral counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Enis's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nomral has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Enis is proving hard to escape from.
Nomral in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Enis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Enis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nomral manages to get himself to full guard.
Enis wants to control from the top but Nomral keeps moving.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Nomral wants to stand up but Enis is controlling him.
Enis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Enis decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Enis gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Enis turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Enis manages to end up in side control.
Nomral is being controlled here.

Enis stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nomral shoots in but no luck this time.

Enis tries to clinch up
and Nomral counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Enis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nomral.

Nomral scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Enis keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Nomral winds up and cracks Enis with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nomral uses his free foot to push down on Enis's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Enis.
Nomral avoids the attempt from Enis to control.

Nomral tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Enis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Nomral is working for a guillotine from mount but Enis frees his head quite easily.
Nomral blocks Enis's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nomral looking to control but Enis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Enis is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nomral fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Enis tries to control Nomral's body but Nomral pushes him off. Enis squirms to his side and now Nomral has his back!
Enis wants to control his opponent's hands but Nomral gets his hands free.
Nomral tries to get the hooks in deep but Enis pushed the leg off.
Avergon Nomral has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
Avergon Nomral showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Enis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
