Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hickson Hooah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalil Jabbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabbar tries a head kick but it misses.
Jabbar misses with a head kick.

Jabbar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Jabbar decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jabbar misses with a wild body shot.
Jabbar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Hooah gets a clinch.
Jabbar wants a takedown.
Jabbar is trying to break the clinch but Hooah has him pressed against the cage.
Hooah tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hooah breaks from the clinch.
Hooah tries to clinch up but Jabbar circles away and keeps his distance.
Hooah is looking to clinch but Jabbar is avoiding it.

Hooah closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hooah decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jabbar to his feet.

and Hooah counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jabbar!
Jabbar looks gassed!
Hooah takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hooah postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jabbar looks a forlorn figure.
Hooah is in the full mount, landing strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Jabbar is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hooah controlling the position easily from mount.
Hooah with the ground and pound from mount.
Hooah lands with some strikes.
Jabbar wants to control but Hooah is having none of it.
Hooah is landing with some decent strikes but Jabbar is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Jabbar is looking to get to half guard.
Jabbar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hooah sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Jabbar is looking to improve his position but Hooah isn't that keen on the idea.
Hooah avoids the attempt from Jabbar to control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hooah blocks Jabbar's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Jabbar is desperately trying to improve his position but Hooah has a good base and remains in mount.

Hooah avoids the attempt from Jabbar to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jabbar darts in trying to clinch
and Hooah makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hickson Hooah is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hooah fails in his attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Hooah or perhaps it was just good defense by Jabbar which made him look bad.

Hooah darts in and clinches Jabbar up against the cage.
Hooah lands a knee to the head.
Hooah on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Hooah has clasped his hands together around Jabbar's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jabbar manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Hooah is trying to stand.
Jabbar is breathing heavily.

Jabbar wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Hooah uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Hooah pushes Jabbar off and gets back to his feet.

Hooah rushes Jabbar and presses him up against the cage.

Hooah breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hooah moves in looking to clinch but Jabbar pushes him off.

Hooah tries to land a knee to the head but Jabbar blocks with his arms.

Jabbar is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hooah gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hooah ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hooah no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jabbar won't allow Hooah to get back to his feet.

Hooah manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Hooah scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hooah lands a high kick!

Jabbar gets a clinch.
Hooah misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jabbar.
Jabbar stalling in the clinch but Hooah improves position.
Jabbar tries to pull guard but Hooah holds him up against the cage and eventually Jabbar drops back down to his feet.
Jabbar is leaning against Hooah and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jabbar blocks an elbow strike.
Jabbar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hooah smiles and moves away.
Hickson Hooah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalil Jabbar.
Jabbar moves away from the strike by Hooah.

Jabbar wants to clinch but Hooah slips to the side

and Hooah counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hooah prevents Jabbar from getting back to his feet.
Jabbar wants to sweep here but Hooah controlling him for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hooah pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jabbar is keeping the position for now.

Hooah decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jabbar, up you get!
Jabbar tries for a takedown but Hooah circles away easily

and Hooah moves into the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hooah has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jabbar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hooah tries for a takedown but Jabbar manages to get underhooks.
Jabbar jumps guard but Hooah stands there with Jabbar around his waist. Jabbar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Jabbar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jabbar lands in his opponent's guard.
Jabbar slips nicely into half guard.
Jabbar is looking to stall here but Hooah recovers full guard.

Hooah manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hooah gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Jabbar fails to pull guard.
Hooah wants to get back to striking at distance but Jabbar won't allow it.
Jabbar wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hooah has him pressed against the cage.

Jabbar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jabbar misses with a takedown

and Hooah counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jabbar won't be happy with that.
Hickson Hooah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalil Jabbar.

Jabbar has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Hooah escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Hooah!
Jabbar tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Jabbar's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Hooah lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jabbar hang on?
Hooah looking to control but Jabbar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jabbar is bucking up trying to escape but Hooah cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Jabbar tries to hold on but Hooah postures up.
Jabbar regains half guard.
Jabbar gets back to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hooah decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jabbar, up you get!

Jabbar regains half guard.
Jabbar is not content to let Hooah control the position.

Hooah decides to stand up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Hooah has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
