PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raddick Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Horodecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is ill bill - war is my destiny. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Horodecki tries to avoid it but Jenkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Horodecki to the ground. Horodecki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jenkins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jenkins scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jenkins shoots in but no luck this time.

Jenkins is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Horodecki knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Horodecki for a finish.

Jenkins seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Horodecki's chin but Horodecki turns very nicely into Jenkins's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Horodecki.

Horodecki wants to try and get back to his feet.
Horodecki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Horodecki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jenkins's waist but Jenkins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Horodecki off to one side.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Horodecki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jenkins keeps working.
Jenkins can't do much from the bottom here.
Jenkins manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Horodecki throws a leg kick but Jenkins sees it coming and checks it nicely.

and Horodecki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Horodecki tries a low kick but Jenkins avoids it.

Horodecki feints and as Jenkins raises his hands in defense, Horodecki changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jenkins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Jenkins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Horodecki is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jenkins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Horodecki's back instead.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Jenkins's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Jenkins has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Horodecki's body.

Horodecki is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jenkins gets his way!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jenkins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Jenkins gets his hands free as Horodecki looks to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Horodecki hold on?!
