0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Cage! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cage avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hakkonson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cage throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Cage wants to land a leg kick but Hakkonson is out of range. Cage has a takedown stuffed. Cage misses with a takedown attempt - Hakkonson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cage tries to clinch but Hakkonson moves away and Hakkonson counters with a solid body kick. Cage fakes the leg kick and cracks Hakkonson in the body. Cage throws a leg kick and Hakkonson counters with a good low kick that Cage was not able to check. Cage clinches but Hakkonson breaks the clinch and Hakkonson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cage's guard. Hakkonson preventing the sweep. Hakkonson eventually gives up the hold. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cage tries to roll over but Hakkonson keeps him under control. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cage wants to get back to full guard but Hakkonson has mounted him! Hakkonson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Cage turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hakkonson off and cradles Cage's limp body as Hakkonson celebrates with his corner.
