Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Papics!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Moss!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moss gets a takedown into half guard.
It looks like Moss is going to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moss is pressing down on Papics's thigh, looking to free his foot. Papics is holding on for now.
Papics tries to roll over but Moss keeps him under control.
Moss missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Moss seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Papics does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Moss is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Papics is concentrating on defense, preventing Moss from advancing position.

Moss is pressing down on Papics's thigh, looking to free his foot. Papics is holding on for now.

Moss is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Papics sees it coming and defends easily.

Moss tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Papics.

Papics works his way to full guard. Good work.
Papics tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Papics is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Moss throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Papics works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Papics has his hands on Moss's head, controlling the position.
Papics keeping moving, preventing Moss from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kevin Papics wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Moss forces Papics back against the cage and clinches.

Moss gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Papics regains guard.

Moss drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Papics dives on top into guard.
Papics lands a couple of elbows.

Papics stands and steps away. Moss gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Moss takes the fight into the clinch.
Papics has Moss pressed against the cage.
Papics lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Moss is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Moss is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Moss jumps guard.
Papics postures up.
Moss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Papics. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Moss seems keen to control Papics's posture.
Moss's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bill Moss dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Papics tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Papics gets caught flat footed, as Moss shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Papics has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Papics manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Moss manages to get himself to full guard.
Moss is looking to stand up but Papics isn't so interested in that idea.
Moss pulls Papics in close to prevent any damage.

Moss is working an open guard so Papics takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Papics is looking to clinch but Moss is avoiding it.
Moss keeps the fight on the outside.
Moss lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Papics circles away quickly and effectively.

Moss gets the takedown into side control.
Papics might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Papics manages to work his way to half guard, despite Moss's best efforts.
Papics moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Moss advances to half guard.
Moss is breathing heavily.
Moss content to control rather than advance.

Papics kicks Moss off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Moss rushes Papics and presses him up against the cage.

Moss works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Moss trying to control the position from guard on top but Papics is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bill Moss has got the better of the ground game so far.
Moss controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Papics not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Papics is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kevin Papics just wasn't active enough.
Papics fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Moss avoids it really well and circles away.

Moss looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Moss is trying to control. Papics wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Moss thows a huge punch but Papics dodges it nicely.

Moss tries to stand and escape but Papics is controlling the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Papics manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Moss tries to stand but Papics is controlling from the bottom.
Papics manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Moss is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Moss can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Papics trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bill Moss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Papics instigates a clinch.

Moss has hold of one of Papics's legs. Papics is fighting the takedown attempt but Moss gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Papics keeping moving, preventing Moss from controlling successfully.
Moss wants to get up but he can't break Papics's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Moss throws a strike but Papics rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Papics tries to free his leg and advance position but Moss is retaining full guard.
Papics postures up.
Papics wants to stand but Moss is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Papics throws a big right hand that misses.
Moss looking for a sweep. Not yet Moss, not yet.
Papics slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Papics thows a body shot but no joy.
Papics tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moss sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Papics somewhat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Papics.
Papics tries to move to mount but Moss blocks the move with his legs.

Papics stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Moss rushes Papics and presses him up against the cage.

Papics manages to break the clinch.
Papics walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Papics fails to land the takedown.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Moss dives in and scores a takedown into Papics's guard.
Moss slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Moss misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Moss lands some shots froms side control.
Papics struggling a bit here.
Sloppy strikes there by Moss.
Moss controlling the position.
Papics can't do much from the bottom here.

Papics wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Papics avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Moss.
Moss is trying to ground and pound but Papics uses the momentary lack of control by Moss to regain half guard.

Bill Moss is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Moss has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
